It's been years since I've blogged on here as posting on Facebook has taken up way too much of my time! I figured I'd pop in here if anyone happens to stop by. I'm in the process of updating my website with new pics, videos and a calendar of events since so many people ask me where I'm performing next! Stay tuned!
As soon as my new song was released, I reached out to a non-profit organization called the Fatherless Daughter Project to see if they'd be interested in sharing it on their website. Not only were they interested, but they spotlighted me as their "daughter of the month" with an interview to go along with the song. I'm beyond grateful to have this platform so that the song falls upon ears that need to hear it! For the next few months, I'm donating all of the proceeds for the songs to their organization via Bandcamp. Here's the article: http://fatherlessdaughterproject.com/gloria/
It's official! My new original has been released! It's been almost a year in the making but a song that has been living inside of me since I was a child has finally come to fruition. Along with my writing partner, Rob Taube, we've created a heartfelt song based on my inner struggles growing up without a father. It's called WHAT DADDY DIDN'T SEE and here's the video. It's the beginning of a new dawn in my life. I've always loved country music and envisioned myself singing country music someday....and that day is NOW! I just joined a fabulous country band called NASH EAST that covers all of the music from country's roots to modern country artists. Okay, I'm just a girl who was born and raised in Connecticut but I'm from the "Southern" part so I think that qualifies :) My parents gave me the name Gloria Lynn at birth and I was planning on using it when I originally moved to NY, but there was already an accomplished jazz singer on the scene at the time named Gloria Lynne, so I didn't think it wise to cause confusion. Now that I'm involved with this band, I'm reclaiming my God given name because it's more "country" sounding. Blessings to y'all! Here's a short clip from the Metropolitan Room gig. The show was a wonderful success thanks to all of our supporters! Thanks for coming down! Happy summer everyone! I have some upcoming public events that I want to share with those of you who are always asking me where they can catch me. To all my Jersey friends, I'm singing at a free outdoor concert in Woodland Park on Wednesday, July 23rd from 7-00-8:30pm with Joe Caroselli & Masterpiece. Here's the info. And for my Manhattan buddies, I'll be playing at the Metropolitan Club with an alternative rock band called Scott Keller & the Renegades on Saturday, August 2nd. Would love to see you if you can make it down!
Hi all! In April of 2013, I became involved with a group of talented musicians and we recorded our very first CD entitled "Poison Arrow" with our original pop/rock band, Chance Taken. It was a really fun, creative process and by November 1st, the CD was released! We're now heading back into the studio to start working on our 2nd CD and will be gigging on a regular basis shortly. I feel blessed to have this kind of creative outlet and it couldn't have happened with a nicer group of guys! For more info, visit the band's website at www.chancetakenband.com.

For the past couple months, I've been busy in the studio with a new original pop/rock band called Chance Taken. I'm really excited about this project, not only for the musicianship and creativity exuding from each member of this band, but because for the first time in my life, I'm contributing some of my own lyrics and am feeling inspired to write more than ever before. We're in the process of recording a CD/Album which is slated for a Fall 2013 release. Stay tuned!
